All About Hair Extensions
What is a sew in weave?
Your natural hair is securely braided with thread to strengthen it in very fine cornrows along the scalp. Then the hair extension is sewn onto the braids. This is a great technique because it allows your hair to rest, thicken, and lengthen while protecting it from blow drying, chemicals and the environments. No chemicals or glue are needed to apply wefts. A weft looks like a curtain of hair held together at the top and hanging freely toward the bottom. It is braided onto your hair around the midline of your head - about ear level. The crown of the persons natural hair is left out to cover the wefts.
This technique works best with hair that is course or thick, but can work well with very fine, silky hair, too. It can be applied to persons of all ethnic backgrounds. It requires 100 % Human hair that you can blown dry, hot rolled, and use a curling iron on everyday. Expect it to last up to 3 months depending on the treatment it recieves.
What is a net weave?
This is the most highly recommended method. It is the same as a regular sew in except a fine net is attached to the braids prior to installing the wefts. This method is more secure and will last longer than a regular sew-in.
What is a partial weave?
A partial has two definitions. The first consist of two to three braids and 1 bag of hair to add fullness and/or length to a clients natural hair. **4 oz of hair is needed to create this look. Clients natural hair is left out in between tracks. This type of weave is used to add fullness and length to natural hair. A face to face consultation is needed to determine if a partial weave is possible to create the desired style.
The second option is for those who have a taper in the back and desired fullness on top. If this is the case only the top portion of the client's head can be braided. Partial weave pricing applies only if the client is wearing hair 10 inches or shorter. A partial weave of this type can be done with or without a closure.
What is a full weave no hair out?
It's a net weave which leaves none of the clients natural hair out. The weave is closed off at the top without the use of a closure. Works best with curly hair. **8oz of hair is needed to create this look.
What is a natural part weave?

What is a closure?

"illusion" of having a skin part when a client desires to have a full weave but doesn't want a wiggy appearance.

This type weave uses a closure to create the "illusion" of real scalp, which eliminates the need to blend your real hair with the extension hair. This method requires one closure and 2 bags of hair.
What is a lacefrontal weave?

One frontal and 1 bag of hair is needed for this look.
What is a takedown?
